The Mitch Churi Chat Show
A talk show hosted by Mitch Churi and Grace Garde built around internet commentary, celebrity interviews and the biggest pop-culture stories.
Launching a talk show is a speed-run of brand building. We needed content that could do three jobs at once.
Explain the show quickly (what it is + who they are + why you should care)
Bottle the energy (chemistry, humour, pace, personality of hosts and set)
Scale across formats without losing punch (9:16 & 16:9)
All while keeping production lightweight, approvals simple, and assets modular enough to turnaround fast while maintaining quality.
We wanted to lean into the show's high-energy, culture-forward chat with a confident, playful edge by creating a tongue in cheek take on Vogue's '73 Questions' series.
We designed the shoot and post workflow around speed and flexibility.
Pre-production
Defined the show’s tone
Built a shot list for modular editing: hero moments + reactions + “breathing room” b-roll
Planned for multi-format framing so we could deliver 9:16 without compromise
Shoot
Captured a mix of: performance-to-camera, candid moments, and “texture” shots to support pacing
Prioritised coverage that supports punchy cutdowns (short takes, clean audio moments, expressive reactions)
Post-production
Built multiple variations to optimise formatting based on deliverable
Exported platform-native versions (9:16 primary), plus alternates as needed
The final videos were able to give the audience a teaser for the series and build anticipation ahead of it's launch by providing references, context and vibes, highlighting the details and rationale behind the set with a format that perfectly distilled the show's tone of voice.
